Sovereign Astronomical Infrastructure

भारत · ग्रहगणित
The meridian returns to Ujjayinī.

A zero-dependency Vedic astronomy engine and API, computed entirely in-house — Sūrya-Siddhānta mean motions, Kerala-school Tantrasaṅgraha, dṛk-saṃskāra and Lahiri ayanāṃśa. No Swiss Ephemeris. No VSOP. No JPL in the runtime. And unlike everyone else, we publish our error bars.

Longitude, reckoned from home.

No Swiss. No VSOP. No JPL in the runtime. And we publish our error bars.

01 · Sovereignty

Nothing to phone home to

A 100% in-house numeric chain with zero runtime data files. No ephemeris blob, no vendor callout — the sky is computed from first principles, so the engine runs air-gapped, on the edge, or inside your own perimeter.

02 · Licensing freedom

Dual-licensed, no CHF lock

Two paths, both published: AGPL-3.0 for open-source builds, or a commercial licence that lifts the copyleft obligation so you can ship a closed-source product. No Swiss-franc vendor lock-in — and an OEM path that lets you own the source outright.

03 · Pramāṇa

Verified, not asserted

Published arc-minute error bars against JPL Horizons — Sūrya 7.8″ p95, Candra 30.5″ p95, on a 1,000-sample benchmark across 2000–2050. The residuals themselves are published — the full dataset is downloadable and re-runnable.

Verified, not asserted

We benchmark against JPL — then publish the residuals.

Residuals measured against JPL Horizons across 1,000 stratified samples (2000–2050). The engine is arc-minute class — and we publish the number instead of asserting it.

Bodyresidual vs JPL (″)measure
Sūrya arc-minute7.8p95
Candra30.5p95

Sūrya 7.8″ (p95) and Candra 30.5″ (p95) vs JPL Horizons, over 1,000 stratified samples across 2000–2050. Honest wedge only: we are arc-minute class and neverclaim to be “more accurate than Swiss Ephemeris / NASA-JPL” — Swiss is sub-arcsecond and wins on raw precision. Arc-minute is sufficient for Jyotiṣa: nakṣatra-pāda, cusps, muhūrta.

The stack

One engine. Ten layers. L0 → L9.

A single Sanskrit taxonomy, from raw time to the proof of the number. Pramāṇa is the hero — no other ephemeris hands you the residual next to the result.

L0

काल · Kāla

Time: ahargaṇa, ghaṭī, ΔT and Lahiri ayanāṃśa.

L1

ग्रह · Graha

Longitudes from Sūrya-Siddhānta mean motions + Tantrasaṅgraha (1501).

L2

ज्योति · Jyoti

Apparent place: dṛk-saṃskāra, rise, set and visibility.

L3

चक्र · Cakra

Lagna, bhāvas and house cusps for any place and epoch.

L4

वर्ग · Varga

The sixteen divisional charts, D-1 through D-60.

L5

दशा · Daśā

Viṃśottarī daśā and bhukti timelines, sealed to the ayanāṃśa.

L6

बल · Bala

Ṣaḍbala — graha and bhāva strength, fully sourced.

L7

योग · Yoga

Planetary combinations, each traced to its constituent grahas.

L8

फल · Phala

Interpretive synthesis — anchored to the layers below, never invented.

L9

प्रमाण · Pramāṇa

hero

The proof layer: residuals published against JPL Horizons — Sūrya 7.8″ p95, Candra 30.5″ p95 — with the benchmark dataset open for re-run.
